Overview
A Single line question is a free text question.
This allows respondents to type their answers in their own words into a text box that is restricted to one line of text.
This option is typically used to ask respondents for information where the answer options cannot be easily anticipated by the survey author for example; respondents name or email address.
If you require a longer response, you can opt for the multi-line option.
However, before allowing respondents to enter large amounts of text, think about how you will analyse and evaluate the responses.
